FURIA DIVINA is a 2D pixel fighter in which the characters that battle each other are gods of different mythologies from archaic cultures. The game has a minimalist graphic interface, besides the traditional energy bar, each player's stamina is represented as a halo that is an integral design of the selected deity. This aura changes rhythmically depending on how much damage the player has taken in, getting weaker, lighter and slower with each blow until it disappears. The music changes along this halo, making the fight a full experience.

With a wide array of available moves, three game modes are introduced: Legend, in which the player explores the story mode facing opponents that are controlled by Al; Versus, the classic mode where duels between two human players are possible; and Team Versus, in which the battle is between two rival teams of up to four players on each side. This two last modes are focused on the casual player, and can be played online.

An exclusive feature of the VS game modes is that the heroes will be able to summon deities from their pantheon to be assisted in combat, in the fashion of strikers. For instance, Odin will be able to call forth Loki and Thor, while Athena will sought help from Zeus and Hephaestus. In this way, the universe in which the game takes place gets extended, and new characters are introduced that will enable alternative story archs. In the VS fights, there will also be possible to perform a special move that will consume three power stocks, where the Hero and his/her two strikers will launch a fatal combined attack.

The Legend mode is conceived for a single player, and it develops the story of the game. In this mode, the gamer's choices will decide the narrative in which the mythic hero will be involved, and the final outcome. Along the path alliances will be forged, and enemies will be made, resulting in matches of up to four gods onscreen. The Heroes will belong to one of two main polarities: chaos, moon and humidity, or control, sun and heat. In the beginning of the adventure, the player must decide unavoidably on one of the two roads, that will take him to battle all the members of the opposite polarity in order to destroy them, thus giving full power above reality to his/her side. At the end of the route, the maximum authority of each pair of opposites awaits

Beginning at the start of the XXI century, each player picks his own way in a story that will progressively transport him trough the ages unto the pre-literary, pre-historic and pre-lithic times, concluding the journey in the awakening of human consciousness. The game unfolds on one side the recorded history on the material plane, and on the other it threads the development that took place on the realm of ideas, of the invisible worlds that are, if not the root of change in the physical plane, it's undeniable counterpart. And so, the gods each represent both the particular cosmovision of an isolated human group, and are gears inside the vast machinery of the ways of understanding, explaining and molding reality.

The battles are the real excuse behind this revisionist and transcendentalist background, and are in the end the only thing that really matters when it comes to the enjoyment of the game by the users. Taking the concepts of speed, strength, impact, rotation and acceleration to the extreme, the perfectly built bodies of the gods are vehicles of destruction. Blows that shatter the ground, winged evasions and iron-hard punishments take up all the seconds during which the reflexes of the player are tested to the limit. To this proposal we add a convincing interaction with the environment and an embracing soundtrack that's been carefully designed, thus completing the psychedelic and meta-graphic visual spectacle, carrying and elevating the gamer up to the plains from where it emanates, profound and perpetual, the final source of imagination.
